We begin the day by taking a picturesque drive to Sudbury, a thriving market town 12 miles from Colchester. Sudbury was the birthplace of the quintessential English portrait painter, Thomas Gainsborough.  We then continue our journey to Long Melford, stopping for lunch at a local pub, before continuing on our journey to Lavenham a beautiful historic town.  (Includes Main & Dessert set menu)

Enjoy a countryside driver through Essex to one of TV Chef Jamie Oliver’s family’s pubs, either the 16th Century Cricketers Inn in Clavering. Includes a 3-course Christmas Lunch, followed by tea/coffee and mince pies. Early Booking Essential

We travel to the delightful town of Faversham allowing you time to look around the shops and the local market.  For the highlight of our tour we travel to the apple orchard’s at Old Wives Lees for a guided tour of the orchard followed by cider tasting of “rough old wives” cider.  From here we continue to the chocolate box town of Chilham where we stop for a cream tea in the quaint old tearooms.

Saffron Walden is a delightful town; the many timber framed buildings with fine plasterwork, and intriguing alleyways around the market place contribute to the town’s charm and every Tuesday is market day. In the afternoon we travel to Clavering for lunch at Jamie Oliver’s parent’s pub ‘The Cricketers Inn’ for a delicious British Meal (set menu).

We travel to the well-known seaside resort of Southend, where you are booked for a 2-course meal at the Cliffs Pavillion with spectacular views over looking the sea.  After lunch you can enjoy a stroll along the seafront, do some shopping or a walk along the famous pier.  (Vegetarian option available)  

Travel to the charming town of Dunwich for a delicious fish and chip lunch at Flora restaurant overlooking the beach. After lunch travel to Southwold a charming seaside town in Suffolk.  The town offers much of interest with it’s busy harbour, working lighthouse and award winning pier and enjoy a relaxing stroll along the seafront.  (Vegetarian option available)
