The Spencer family have resided at Althorpe for nearly five centuries.  Famously known as the final resting place of Diana, Princess Of Wales. You can explore the grand house, parks and gardens on the estate.

Blenheim Palace is the home of the 11^th Duke of Malborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.  The palace is set in the over 2,000 acres of landscaped parkland.  There are four gift shops, a narrow gauge railway, butterfly center and caferteria.  In November the Living Crafts for Christmas fair takes place inside the pavilions offering a range of beautifully handcrafted gifts.

In the morning we travel to Harrods famous shopping centre where you will have free time to shop. In the afternoon we journey onto Buckingham Palace where you will enjoy a tour of Her Majesty the Queen’s residence visiting The State rooms, where the Royal family entertain their guests.  These rooms are lavishly furnished with the greatest treasures from the Royal collection. Included will be a special exhibition Diamonds: A Jubilee Celebration the exhibition will show an unprecedented number of The Queen’s personal jewels. 

Visit the costal town of Deal for free time,  The gardens were officially opened in 2007 by Gardener’s World host Monty Don.  The gardens are beautifully landscaped and have amazing range of flowers blooming throughout the year, it is an oasis waiting to be explored.  You will have free time to explore the town of Sandwich.   

A romantic moated castle, set in beautiful landscaped gardens, once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn.  Furnished with exquisite paintings and tapestries.  Outside, visitors can enjoy the Italian, rose and herb gardens, maze, topiary, a spectacular lake and a water maze. Two restaurants are in the grounds for refreshments. 

Visit the film set of the popular period drama Downton Abbey.   Highclere Castle in Newbury has been the home to the Earls of the Carnarvon family for over 300 years.  Set in 1,000 acres of parkland.  On exhibition is the Carnarvon’s Egyptian collection.  On site is a restaurant.

Visit the world famous Royal Botanical gardens with thousands of different species of plants.  Explore the gardens and landscapes.  For those who like heights a must is the Xstrata Treetop Walkway with amazing views.  (Please note the Treetop Walkway has a large number of steps). Visit the famous moated castle in Kent, surrounded by 500 acres of parklands and gardens.  Built on two small islands in the middle of a natural lake it is the oldest stately home in England. 

This magnificent renaissance-style chateau was built for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to house his 18^th Century art treasures.  Its outstanding garden is considered to be one of the finest in Britain. Onsite there is a restaurant and gift shop.  (Discount for NT Members)

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and is one of the official residences of The Queen.  Enjoy a self-guided audio tour around this magnificent castle and see some of the finest arts and collections on display. To celebrate the Diamond Jubilee there will be a special exhibition of The Queen: Sixty photographs for sixty years. After your visit to the Castle you will have time to look around the Royal town of Windsor. (If you do not wish to visit the castle you will be dropped in Windsor on arrival)
